Why should I use Zoom2Tube?

Have you seen this at the top of your Zoom™ room?

Now what? Your options are:

  • you can delete your recorded videos

  • you can pay for more room

  • OR you can hire Zoom2Tube!

The first two options above are not ideal; how can you choose which recordings to delete? And paying for extra storage on Zoom, who wants to do that?

What are the benefits of using Zoom2Tube vs leaving your recordings on Zoom

  • Leaving your recordings on Zoom™ means you will pay extra to store them, every month.
    >>vs<<
moving them to YouTube™ (or another video hosting site) which are typically free.

  • Your recordings on Zoom™ will not be organized.
    >>vs<<
Storing them on YouTube™, you can organize your recordings including having playlists to better organize your recordings.

  • Your recordings on Zoom™ will be unedited, containing gaps and dead air; the first few minutes of most Zoom™ recordings are often filled with everyone joining and chatting before getting down to business. You can do some basic editing in Zoom™ if you are willing to take the time, but it's not as complete as we can do on Zoom2Tube.
    >>vs<<
Zoom2Tube can remove the gaps and dead air, removing the beginning of the recording where everyone is joining, getting settled in (can you hear me now?), and chit-chatting; we can slightly speed up the video without negatively affecting the sound quality.

  • Your recordings may be safer when moved to another video hosting site. Have you ever discovered one of your recordings is MIA? I have seen that; it's rare, but it can happen.
    >>vs<<
Uploading your recording to YouTube™ is secure; assuming your recording doesn't violate YouTube's™ policies, there should be no reason for it to be deleted.

How does this work?

If you are a new client, contact me first to discuss everything please.

Do you require an NDA? If you do, just let me know, and I'll be more than willing to sign one. Even without a signed NDA, I will not share any information or data from your recordings without explicit permission.

Next, after we determine how many recordings you need to be completed and you make your purchase, you can share with me the Zoom™ link to the video/recording you need to be worked. Or you can add me to your Zoom™ account
https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0064983#:~:text=Only%20the%20account%20owner%20and,privilege%20to%20edit%20account%20settings

We will also discuss what you want done to your videos. Do you need editing, or do you want the video left in its raw state? Do you want the video ((slightly)) speeded up so it plays in less time? This can usually be done without negatively affecting the sound or voice quality.

You will also need to add me as a manager on your YouTube™ account, if you are using a different video server, you will either need to add me as a manager, user or give me your login information. For security reasons, we may need to coordinate Zoom2Tube logging in to your account the first time, as these platforms typically require the owner of the account to approve or OK the login from a different account or device.

Do you need Zoom2Tube to create or add your uploaded videos to playlists on YouTube™? Do you need your uploaded videos to be public? Unlisted? Private? Do you want any subscribers to be automatically notified of the upload or not? Are these videos made for children or not? Is there an age restriction? Zoom2Tube will use the filename from your Zoom™ recordings unless otherwise specified. We will also add any chat text that is part of the Zoom™ recordings to the description on YouTube™ unless otherwise specified.

Once Zoom2Tube completes a job, we will contact you via email to let you know so you can check the video on YouTube™ and delete the recording from Zoom™ if you wish. Zoom2Tube will retain the downloaded and edited recordings/videos/text for a short period of time, only long enough to ensure the video is safely on YouTube™ or other video hosting site, but no longer than 30 days. After that, the recordings/videos/text will be permanently deleted from my devices and cannot be retrieved for any reason.

Please ensure that your content is legal and is in accordance with YouTube's™ rules, if I believe the content may not be legal or may violate YouTube's™ rules, I will alert you as to the issue, and if there is anything that can be done about it, otherwise I reserve the right to refuse service.

Just a few of the things that may violate YouTube's™ rules are, violence, hate speech, illegal drug use, spam, scams, harassment, cyberbullying, sexual content... see the link above for the full list. For other video platforms, please follow their rules.

Another rule on YouTube™ pertains to private information such as email addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, and the like, if these things are visible on the screen, I am required to obscure that information, even if the video is uploaded as a "private" video, YouTube™ has bots as well as humans who view these videos and if they determine there is a violation, they are very likely to remove your video without warning.

YouTube™ and other video hosting platforms can be very strict about copyrighted music, if there is music playing in the background of your recording, YouTube™ MAY mute the audio or possibly remove your video without warning. Even if it's just a few seconds of music such as a ringtone on a phone, anything playing on a TV or radio in the background, or a commercial that can be heard. It's best not to have any music playing that can be heard on your recordings. If it's possible, we can edit out a bit of music, but if it's playing the entire time, or it's playing during talking, it may not be possible to remove it. If this video is going to be uploaded to a private server, then this shouldn't be an issue at all.
